About Us...
A not-for-profit foundation
The WilliamChristopher Foundation is a Missouri 501 (C) (3) not-for-profit
corporation. The Foundation operates with volunteer assistance only.
There are no paid staff members, and we maintain no rented office space. Except
for minimal office and advertising expenses (such as this website), all funds that
are donated are used to help quadriplegic individuals and those with cerebral
palsy. Our records are
open for inspection, and financial information is available upon request.

History
In April 1983, the founder's oldest son William was diagnosed with a terminal
brain tumor. And in December 1983, her youngest son Christopher was diagnosed
with two different types of leukemia. By February 1984 Bill had become a
quadriplegic from the treatments he was receiving. In June of 1984, Chris passed
away. Bill lived as a quadriplegic until January 2001 when he passed away. The
founder is keenly aware of the struggles a quadriplegic individual must face,
and has recorded her experiences in book form, available on this site. Her
concern for the quality of life for individuals in similar situations has moved
her to form the WilliamChristopher Foundation.

Future goals
It is our hope to be able to purchase needed items to improve the quality of
life for quadriplegic individuals and those with cerebral palsy. It is our intention to always keep the expenses of the Foundation as low as
possible in order to serve more individuals.
